Christian education
We believe every child has the right to good Christian education. We commit to that every day, not only with money, but with presence on the ground.
About us, since 1992
We are a small, all-volunteer Dutch foundation that has supported Christian education in Indonesia for over thirty years. Short lines, personal contacts, and loyalty to the schools and families we support.

Our story
In 1992 several of us travelled across Indonesia and visited Christian schools struggling with serious shortages. What we saw stayed with us: dedicated teachers, motivated children, and buildings, learning materials and families that needed help.
Back in the Netherlands we founded Stichting Setia. A special name for a special foundation: Setia means faithful. That faithfulness, to our partners, to the children, and to the message that drives us, has been our compass ever since.
Indonesia has long been inseparably linked to the Netherlands. The gap in opportunity is still too wide. We believe every child has the right to Christian education, and we need your help to make it possible.
“Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.”
What drives us
Small in scale, clear in direction, that is how we have worked since day one.
We believe every child has the right to good Christian education. We commit to that every day, not only with money, but with presence on the ground.
We have worked with the same schools and contacts in Java, Kalimantan and Timor for many years. Not one-off projects, but lasting relationships.
The board is fully voluntary. Every euro you give reaches the school, the child or the family it was meant for.
The board
The board meets regularly, keeps in touch with our partners in Indonesia personally, and visits the projects on a recurring basis.

The board is happy to help, about sponsorship, a one-off gift, or a visit to one of the projects in Indonesia.
