Atambua lies in the border region of Timor, close to Timor-Leste. This area long remained behind in development: little economic activity, poor roads and a shortage of teachers. Good teachers are needed here most of all.

The Yayasan Pendidikan Manekat Anugerah foundation trains kindergarten and primary-school teachers there. The college is recognised by the government and has already produced students who have gone to work in the region. With a contribution to the training, we help not one child, but through the teacher whole classes after them.

Until now the college rents classrooms from a primary school, using them when the school does not need them. With the growing number of students this is becoming too cramped. That is why the college wants to put up its own building.

Together with you we want to realise at least one classroom. That costs around 8,000 euro. Will you help?
